4th Generation iPod Touch Announced!

4th Generation iPod Touch

Out of all the product updates announced at Apple’s Fall Event none got my attention more than the 4th Generation iPod Touch. As expected the upgrades on the 4th Generation iPod Touch did not disappoint in any way. Everything we expected and wished wanted is all there except for the lasers I always wanted.   Continue reading

6th Generation iPod Nano Announced!

4th Gen iPod Nano

Apple’s iPod Nano probably got the most updates out of all the iPods announced in Apple’s Fall Event. Or should I say it’s a whole new product? I mean with the upgrades it got it really doesn’t look anything like the old iPod Nanos. As you can see it lost all the buttons in exchange for a small touchscreen which by the way is multi-touch. So in essence it’s more like a very small iPod Touch. It’s also got voice over like the iPod Shuffle and an FM tuner but we lose the small video camera which I doubt we’d miss with that screen size. The 24 hour battery life would probably get all those beats running all night long specially without the camera to slurp it down. The 8GB model would be around USD 150 and like the Shuffle expect 6 colors to choose from.

So first up we have the brand spanking new 4th Generation iPod Shuffle.   Continue reading

Official Singapore iPhone 4 Prices

The gray market prices for the unlocked iPhone 4 in the Philippines are kinda extreme at the moment. As of this writing, the gray market prices for Software Unlocked iPhone 4‘s are P53,000 for 16GB and P57,000 for 32GB. Software Unlocked models can’t be upgraded with firmware. For the Factory Unlocked iPhone 4′s, the 16GB goes for P64,000 and the 32GB will set you back P70,000. This is a huge jump from the current official Singapore prices. The official Singapore price for the 16GB iPhone 4 model is just P29,638 while the 32GB model costs P34,979. My advice to everyone here in the Philippines is to just be patient. Paying almost double the cost for this through the gray market just isn’t worth it.

Apple’s Magic Trackpad Is Official

After months of leaks and speculation from Apple Fan boys and gadget blogs Apple’s Magic Trackpad is now official and is priced at USD 69.00 a pop.
Apple Magic Trackpad

It’s basically a wireless trackpad for your Mac Desktop and features a ton of mulit-touch gestures including two-finger scrolling, pinching to zoom, rotating with your fingertips, three-finger swiping, and activating Exposé or switching between applications with four fingers. You can check the Magic Trackpad over at Apple’s website which I think is being hammered right now because of all the updates, but I’m sure it’ll be alright in a couple of minutes. No word on a local price yet though.

Apple iPad Singapore Prices very affordable!

The Apple iPad will be officially available starting July 23, 2010 in Singapore. The official prices are actually very affordable and reasonable compared to the gray market prices here in the Philippines. I also heard that you can actually get a 7% rebate if you’re a foreigner buying there. I have a feeling that iPad prices here in the Philippines will go down drastically. To those who are planning on buying, try to hold on for a couple of weeks. You’ll definitely save some cash if you do so. Price list after the break. Continue reading

11.6 Inch MacBook Air coming soon?

I’m a happy MacBook Air user. It’s very light, mobile, and powerful for it’s size. I can even play some games on it like Red Alert (lol). My only wish really is for Apple to come up with another MBA with even higher specs so that it can do more media editing and gaming applications. However, it looks like they’re going to focus more on making it even smaller. There are rumors circulating that Apple will be releasing a new MBA with an 11.6 inch display. It’s going to be powered by an Intel Core i-series ultra-low voltage processor as well. Read the source article after the break. Continue reading

iPad 3.2.1 Firmware Update Released

iPad Update
With all the commotion with the iPhone 4′s antenna problems some people hardly noticed the iPad’s new firmware update. But since we currently have more iPads here in the Philippines than the brand spanking new iPhone 4 I just wanted to share what new fixes we can expect in the new 3.2.1 firmware for the iPad. The 3.2.1 update for the iPad doesn’t really bring any new features to the tablet we all love and it’s actually an obvious sign that iOS 4 for the iPad may still be a couple of months away. So for now just head on to the break to see what improvements we got. Continue reading
