Out of all the product updates announced at Apple’s Fall Event none got my attention more than the 4th Generation iPod Touch. As expected the upgrades on the 4th Generation iPod Touch did not disappoint in any way. Everything we expected and wished wanted is all there except for the lasers I always wanted.
So as expected the iPod Touch will be getting the Retina Display which ups the pixels to about 4x more than older iPod Touch models. Apple’s A4 Chip is also powering the show along with a front and back camera capable of HD video recording. I’m guessing the iPod Touch would hurt sales figures of point and shoot cameras because of the other features users get not to mention all the apps and cool stuff you can do with it. Facetime would probably see a big surge when the iPod Touch comes out next week specially when the whole world gets it’s hands on one of these. All in all the 4th generation iPod Touch is essentially an iPhone without the phone, so in my opinion it would be the killer gadget for anyone not willing to do away with keypads but would want to enjoy Apple’s iOS.
